The right energy

We all want to be 100% at our photo shoots, but sometimes trying to do right can be so wrong. Having a parent come in telling us their kid ate tons of his Halloween candy may not be the energy you want. This senario most likely will end up with the child bouncing of the walls so fast making it difficult to snap anything. In 30 minutes he will be falling asleep. Although this can be quite funny, it can also be difficult to get some great shots. This is why we believe that you must be careful with what you eat before your shoot. Especially for photo sessions over 2 hours. Last thing you want is NOT eat before the shoot and have it written all over your face. Make sure that your body is at 100% so that your pictures are as well. Fruits, vegetables and pure orange juice can give you the kick you need. Lets leave the sugar rushes for a birthday!!

Sarah the heartbreaker

We met a new young model and she was such a good little girl. All it takes for her to smile is a funny face. She was already use to everyone taking pictures of her since she was the first grandchild. She actually posed for us and the camera. I have to admit that it is very pleasing to see a baby striking posses, especially when they are only 9 months.

We loved seeing her smile with her 4 little teeth that were growing in, It just doesn't get much cuter than this!! Her adorable face matched her sweet personality. She prefers solid food to puree and took a bite out of a red apple for us. We noticed that little Sarah had her mothers eyes and so we did our best to capture that similarity within the mother daughter shots. Of course Sara's big baby blue eyes photographed well and she was a pleasure to photograph. Here are some pictures of this little model.

Brothers & Sisters / Frères & Soeurs

The portrait between brothers and sisters require a lot of work. Especially when our models are very young and restless, But there are exceptions! Alexia (in the last post) was very attentive and so was her big brother; William. This photo session was comparatively easy for me. The children were quiet, but also shy. William was very bashful and I had to find him his comfort zone in order to take beautiful photos. The assistance of a parent and or a familiar face (to the eyes of the child) is necessary in this case. We already spoke in another post about how children can become anxious and I feel the need to recap on that subject. Children are 100% more comfortable at home with their familiar environment in order to do the photo shoot. I believe that it is also easier for the parents to assist their child and do not have to be concerned with what the child touches or if they are screaming too loud ect! So here are some pictures of William and his sister Alexia

Le portrait entre frères et soeurs demande beaucoup de travail. Surtout quand nos models sont très jeunes et agités. Mais il y a des exceptions ! Alexia (dans le dernier post) qui a été surprenament attentionnée par la caméra et son petit frère ; William. Cette session photo a été relativement facile pour moi. Biensure les enfants étaient tranquilles, mais aussi gênés. Comme le petit William, j'ai dû le mettre dans son aise afin de prendre de belle photo. D'ou l'aide d'un parent et d'un étranger (aux yeux de l'enfant) est nécessaire. Nous en avons déjà parlé dans un autre post, et je tiens à le rappeler, les enfants sont 100% plus confortable de faire les photos dans leur chez-soi avec le confort de leur environement. Je crois aussi que les parents sont plus à l'aise dû au fait qu'ils n'ont pas à ce soucier de ce que l'enfant touche ou s'il crit trop fort etc ! Bref, voici quelques photos du petit William et de sa soeur Alexia

The little Alexia / La petite Alexia

Today, Alexia was our small model. She was a very attentive and quiet child. Her big blue eyes obtained beautiful pictures. She was so good at staying still that my lens seemed like a video camera on it's stand. I never had to move because she didn't budge unless told to. It was very surprising to have such an easy photo shoot when dealing with such a young child because they move so fast. Because her pictures were so fabulous, I find it almost necessary to show all of you. Here are some photos of this gorgeous little girl that has all the trumps to do a memorable and lasting photo. children are all different which includes their personalities. we get inspire by something that is special and authentic to that child.It's like a trip in the eyes of these small people where everything is new and perfect.

Aujourd'hui, Alexia a été notre petit model. Une enfant très attentionnée et tranquille comme tout. Ses grands yeux bleus captaient la lentille de la caméra et la fixait sans même bouger. D'une facilité surprenante, les photos sont sorties fabuleusement. Peut en faut-il pour vous le démontrer. Voici quelques photos de cette belle enfant qui a tout les atouts pour faire d'une photo, une photo mémorable et marquante. Les enfants sont tous différents et nous inspire quelque chose de spécial et d'authentique....C'est un voyage dans les yeux des petits êtres tout nouveaux, tout parfait.

Jasmine's Photo shoot

It was a rainy day when baby Jasmine came in for her photo shoot holding her snack cup. Think chubby cheeks, adorable smile with tight little curls. If your first thought is a little doll, think again because she is real! This baby was full of energy and knows what she wants. With two full cheeks on the top and a second set of round cheeks on the bottom, she had The perfect red apple pair and she was a joy to watch as she entertained us. She even honored us with her rain dance shaking her booty like a professional dancer at only age 2. We were both floored at how good she was, we could not help but laugh. We had a whole theme for jasmine prepared but she had other plans and a whole other agenda to follow. So we went with the flow and let her lead the way through her 2 hours session.

In short, I would have loved to have a camcorder instead of my camera because it really was a great show.

C'était une journée plutôt pluvieuse lorsque la petite Jasmine s'est présentée, avec à la main, son petit snack prête pour sa session de photo. Pensez-y, petites joues joufflues, un sourire adorable avec ses petites bouclettes frisées... Si votre première impression vous dit que c'est une petite poupée ; pensez-y bien car elle est vraie. Cette enfant, pleine d'énergie, sait très bien ce qu'elle veut ! Avec ses pommettes joufflues, elle représente très bien La Pomme Rouge tout en nous faisant un petit spectacle digne des plus prestigieux. Elle nous a même honoré avec sa danse de la pluie en fessant aller ses fesses comme une professionnelle de danse à seulement 3 ans ! Nous étions toutes les deux épatées de voir à quel point elle était hilarante, nous ne pouvions que rire! Nous avions plusieurs thèmes pour la petite Jasmine, mais elle en a décidé autrement ! Nous avons suivit le courant tout en laissant cette petite boule d'énergie nous guider pendant notre session qui a durée plus de deux heures.

Bref, cette journée, j'aurais préférée avoir une caméra vidéo avec moi au lieu de mon appareil photo ; c'était tout un spectacle !

Retouching and Airbrushing

One of the most important aspects of Photography for us is the editing. Playing around with the colors as well as air brushing can make a difference between a good Photo and a "Great" Photo.

All of our photos are always retouched and air brushed. Our job doesn't end after your Photo shoot. We keep getting inspired to make you picture perfect. By analyzing the picture and your face, we will adjust your make-up to the very colors that surround you. This is to insure the perfect Red Apple Photo. No picture is complete without editing and final touches.
